Deciding to pursue writing career?

I have always wanted to be a screenwriter and dircect my own movie but I have always been afriad to pursue it because I know its extremly hard to break into the industry. I have changed my major numerous times trying to find something that interest me but everytime I end up not liking the cles. Right now im in school majoring in accounting. I was thinking of doing financial investigations but my accounting cles suck. Its not that hard but I don't think its for me. I am contemplating double majoring in film/media studies and english. What should I do?
