How should I best care for my scd/gouged finger?

My thumb and ring finger got scd/gouged while at work. I have cleaned them with peroxide, put antibiotic ointment on them and bandaged them. Should I allow some air to get to the abrasions? Also, they both have a flap of skin that is hanging there, but barely. Should I remove that?
