Can someone answer my question about the Ichigo 100% manga?

I've been reading the first eleven chapters of the manga. All Junpei seems to do is really freak out when around, I forget what her name is, not Aya, the other one. Does he change or does he have this trait all throughout the manga? No spoilers, please.
