How can I 'sell' myself better for job openings?

I would say start by working into your resume objective that you are relocating back, and make it clear in the objective that you are not in need of istance. If theyre calling you back, they must be at least a little impressed with you. Don't let the haters of this world get you down (like SD below). Try Craigslist.com or perhaps if you know someone in the area you are trying to get back to, see if they can put in a good word for you. Also, include references from New England, that also looks better when you have a list of folks in the area for which you're applying. Another avenue you might want to pursue is a recruiter - I work with them frequently for my job (HR) and I can tell you most of them don't just recruit employees, they also recruit jobs for seekers.
