What kind of flower is this (description and pics)?

Yep, it's an orchid. Fertilize it with orchid fertilizer (they'll have it at Home Depot) "weakly, weekly." Not only do these have to be kept out of strong sunlight, they perfer cool nights and warmer days. They love a humid environment and good drainage...so you could put the pot over a tray of pebbles and water...and/or mist the plant when you think about it. I got one of these to live and rebloom for a couple years...but it really does need just the right spot and care to rebloom. I haven't been able to find a good spot that works since I moved.
