What race are people from Papua New Guinea considered? ?

Race is an interesting concept. My daughter took an anthropology cl several years ago. The first day of cl the professor asked the students what race the Australian Aborigines were. Some said African (black). He started explaining that their hair was straight and sometimes the children would be blonde-headed, and the other differences. Then he told them that their DNA was closest to North Koreans, funny North Koreans look nothing like Aborigines. My daughter no longer believes in the concept of race, only ethnic groups.
