How long does the "shrieking toddler" phase last?

Hmmm. I have a toddler who occasionally shrieks. I am not sure how long it lasts? We talk to our kid about having an inside voice... Does she shriek nonstop? Or is it every once in a while throughout the day. She will get over it... hope you can too.
